Just wanted everyone to know that Karen and Nick, Lyn and Steve, and John and I dropped off the gifts that our always generous members donated to this year's family. The Mom, Lakisha, looked overwhelmed by all the gifts. She gave us a lovely card and gift, which we will raffle off at the January meeting. The little boy, Clyde, was very talkative and excited to see all the packages. Baby Levi is a smiling, adorable child. There was also a Dad there, Tyrone, who we did not know about. He seemed supportive of the family and was very pleasant and appreciative.
They seem like a very nice family and definitely able to use the help at Christmas. We came away feeling overwhelmed ourselves by the unbelievable generosity of our Club members. Thank you all so much. It was a privilege to be your emissary today.
And to all, Happy Holidays. Hope to see you in January.

CRWN's recent Reality Store event on October 16 was a huge success! Many thanks are due to co-chairs Kathy C. and Lyn M., and to all of the CRWN members, friends and others who volunteered to help and attend.
From President Catie: Congratulations to all who had a hand in making the Reality Store a success. The girls enjoyed the program and got something out of the challenges they were faced with. Special thanks to Kathy C for co-chairing the program. Kathy put her excellent organizational skills to good use last evening and prior to the event. Even though co-chair Lyn M was not there, she did a lot of behind-the-scenes work. Lyn put great "goody bags" together for the girls, among other things. Carol S. pulled together good food and drinks for the girls and for our membership.
Thanks to all for all the help - I am afraid to mention any other names for fear of leaving someone out, but I can say that everyone really pulled their weight, contributing great stations for the girls to "spend their money" at and hopefully, learn something about the real world. I think the girls came away with some helpful, thought-provoking information to help them along their way. We had three "guest" participants and I extend my thanks to them too.
From Co-Chair Kathy C: The composite of the written evaluations we collected from the girls after the event shows we did a good job and the girls had an interesting and informative evening. Mission accomplished! Click on the link to read the summary of Evaluations that Kathy circulated.
