Our Mission: To Promote Personal and Professional Development for Women Through Advocacy, Education, and Information.
We are a local chapter of New York Women, Inc. a statewide organization dedicated to promoting equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information.Over one thousand women and men from approximately 60 local organizations throughout New York State comprise our membership.
Our "new" chapter, the Capital Region Women’s Network (CRWN) was formed by merging two local women's groups; “State Street BPW” (State Street Business and Professional Women), and the "Capital Region BPW". Founded in 1981, the organization was a local affiliate of the National Business and Professional Women/USA (BPW/USA) which promoted workplace equity since 1919. As BPW/USA reorganized into the BPW Foundation, our state and local clubs have adapted with name changes but our club remains vibrant and our mission continues to be critical to the lives of working women. CRWN meets monthly from September through June for a dinner meeting that typically includes a business meeting, a speaker, networking opportunities, and fundraising for our scholarship funds. The Greater Capital Region Scholarship Foundation administers several scholarships for women including the Cornelia A. Bregman Scholarship.

NYS Women, Inc. fosters the success of working women by providing career advancement resources, worklife strategies and personal and professional connections. Organizational changes this year at the National level have changed our name, but have not changed our goals!
